Update on Animation

This is an update to my animation. I have added some shadows to the origami models using the flip tool in After Effects and I have also played around with the keying more to get rid of the flake parts that appeared in some of the models.  Advanced Innovative Animation Update from Jack Vanes on Vimeo.

Adding Shadows
After Effects provides a plug-in 3D effect that can provide shadows to layers. However I did not use this method because it did not turn out correctly and the shadows would not read the keylight effect. Instead I duplicated the object layer and then used the flip preset. I then used the fill tool to make the flipped object black to give the shadow appearance. I then used the Gaussian blur and turned the opacity down which made the shadow a bit more dynamic.

Update

I have updated the animation and the character model based on feedback given by peers.

Character model
I have made the cheekbone seem a bit more natural and blend with the rest of the face as before it was looking very edgy. I have also made the mouth in a higher position because the mouth was too much into the chin. If I change something about this model, I would have changed the hands slightly to make them seem a bit more realistic. Also I would have merged the ears better as they do not appear to be in the correct form in my opinion.

Animation
I have updated the animations, The first thing I changed was the foot glitch that happened in the post box animation. The facepalm was also too slow in the first animation, thus I edited it in a manner which fits the motion. In the piano lip sync animation, I played around with the lip sync for a bit to make it a bit more in sync with the audio as before in some parts, it seems rather off. Each of these animations also has a bit more dynamics with the fingers. In the previous animation show reel, the fingers were pretty much motionless throughout the animations unless they were needed.
