His Girl Friday (1940) Lighting Analysis

When looking at the lighting of the scene, the black and white genre of the film can arguably deduct the lighting from it. However the lighting is still an essential part of the film nonetheless. One thing I like about the lighting in this scene is the ray beams from the windows that are in the middle of the room, which would indicate that the sun is at the middle ground (Afternoon). This obviously isn't the time I intend on making the film. However I can take note the use of natural and electrical lighting that occurs in the scene and apply the usage method of it to my project.
